Arrrghh I can't believe I've now had 2 slip though my hands. Maybe there will be a reward for recovering some the other pieces..
they are good pieces. Hopefully that will be enough credits to get a new one. There's only a couple places he could have gotten that.
But one thing is for sure, if I keep doing bone head things like that the old girl is never gonna fly again.

Another things for sure, things are alot easier in a cockpit than mucking around in some abandon slums. I mean geeze plague virus,
smuggling artifacts and armed cranky droids.. and then there were the bad guys.
So on the todo list:
  • Find yet another tube
  • Get a bit handier with my saber(I have been neglecting some of my practice)
  • Figure out whats the mechanic's favorite dish.

Ahh the old girl is slowing coming together it won't be too much longer before we are streaking across the galaxy.

Well in a case of one thing leads to another. While we were enjoying the accommodations from our last adventure, the bookworms discovered a lead to some more Sith nastiness...

Our cranky scout friend also seemed to have misplaced some colleagues on the same world, so we packed our mittens and parkas and thanks to some tinkering on Mina's part we were away.

We were met with an in flight escort of a couple hungry heavily armored mynocks. That's what the universe needs.. even more annoying mynocks. Well my piloting skills were no match, and the Turtle can now claim 2 more kills.

Once again the ground seems to be my undoing. One force scream and a couple of broken ribs can attest to that. I'm glad we keep a Doc around.
So now I owe the Doc a cold Lum... wonder if he even drinks Lum?

As for what we found on that ice planet... well we did rescue one of the scouts and recover the other's body, and even returned a couple of Sith items, but thinking about that planet will always send a cold chill down my spine and it won't be from the cold.

Sometimes I wonder about myself...

So the pluses for this week:
Cleaned up more parts I hope to start the actual assembly soon.
Been assigned to S.T.A.R.S. alpha.

I guess its time to mention some of the rest of my new team. Lets see we've got
The Droid, who wields a training lightsaber, and if he does dream I pretty sure its about the method of our demise.
The Scout.. who seems to enjoy his lum and not the likes of us.. but considering our previous performance I can't say I would be our biggest fan.
The Doc.. a mostly pretty decent saw bones.. Seems to like to throw caution to the wind and jump in.. good bad or otherwise..
The Librarian.. how someone could actually have that many books is beyond me... but hey consider our new assignment not a bad idea.
The Mechanic... I think I can relate to her the best. The way she kinda glazes over something broken reminds me of the way I look at a cockpit.
The Archeologist.. not sure how mindful of the present he is... I've heard some Jedi always worry about the future.. this'guy the past, the way past.

the Minus:
That thug... If I keep doing boneheaded things like that, they are going to revoke my license.

Note to self: Pick up some tracking devices... it will be cheaper and possibly safer than bribing bartenders and trying to follow alone speeder in the middle of the Dune Sea. and after my err last run in.. I've realized I need to pickup some sort of less-lethal combat. Cargo skiffs and lightsabers are not an effective means of arresting living suspects.

Been a bit of delay since my last posting.. my last assignment did not go well to say the least. I've been some time in quiet mediation trying to deal with emotional response. if you are going to be a good pilot you have to keep your fears/emotions in check..

I guess I should explain what happened. So after following some leads in the "botched" assignation attempt, we concluded that the ambassador was most likely not the target but the droid itself. Apparently there was a special upgraded run of that particular model.. where that will lead us who knows, but we should definitely keep our eyes open for any other such attacks. Afterwords we decided to figure out why Kesel's com system was still down even after a repair crew was dispatched. It didn't take long to figure out what was causing the problem. The indigenous population had gone on a rampage. Unfortunately the native population are giant spiders and that's when the flashbacks started.

As a young child I was exploring a cave and after a few turns tripped and fell into a pit. The pit was home to what seem to me at the time, a large colony of spiders. Queens, drones, pulsing egg sacks the works. Well they quickly swarmed me to defend their layer. I don't remember much after that but eventually waking up in a hospital room covered in bites, still recovering from the venom.

Well back to the log... Eventually they convinced me to drive them into the caves to learn the fate of the miners... when that first swarm attacked is when things really fell apart. Eventually my fear turned to rage.. and I guess that little boy got the revenge he wanted all that time ago. As a pilot fear will kill you quicker than a proton torpedo in an exhaust port, so you either compartmentalize it or you channel it.. So I kept it in check until we saw the source of the spider agitation, a Sith wearing some sort of hat of spider control. I charged her knowing that was the only way to stop the spiders, and free the trapped miners. Eventually the rest of group attacked and we were able to overwhelm her defenses and bring her down.

Yea my actions weren't very Jedi like and I'm sure the rest of the "real jedis" in our group think even less of me... funny they don't seem to complain much when I fly/bast them out of danger, but every time I light up that saber I get lots of disparaging looks, but also for the record I want to state that it was tapping into some of these "unwanted" emotions that allowed us to 1. Rescue the trapped miners and 2. Defeat the sith and her artifact. And if they really don't like the way I handle myself on the ground well then maybe they can fly/drive/sail/shoot what ever vehicle we encounter next time.... no no that's petty and I'm above all that I know I'm good and if they can't see it well tough on them, besides I don't think they are all that "perfect" either.

And that brings me back to the hospital where I've stowing all that baggage away, hopefully for good this time.

So after my brief "rest" I rejoined the group, so we could intercept the ghost ship. The dreadnought launched the survey ship and we tried to make peaceful contact but sadly we were meet with unpleasantness. I diverted the ship to an isolated area. From the crash emerged a couple of the monks. Sadly the brain transfer process/isolation had left them insane. Fortunately I was able to cure them with a shot.. from the quads.

We then intercepted the dreadnought and thanks to help from a republic cruiser disabled the ship and dispatched the automated droid fighters. We were able to rescue one of the crew members and left the ship, the "monks"in the hands of the republic. I'll need to confirm it with the targeting systems but I pretty sure I'm now an ace.

We received word that STARS bravo was in over their head with several members captured. We thought we could lend a hand.. However all we've done so far is alert the rest of 8's "brothers" who are most likely be behind alot of the droid problems. Rescuing the rest of Bravo could now be issue since the Corp sector/Droid s maybe on to all of our plans..

Well operation yoink was a huge success. Kas and I quickly "accessed" the prison level and we liberated all of team Bravo with nary a scratch.. I doubt that plan would work a second time, but for now I'll call it a success.

We also were able to intercept and abduction of the archive droid by one of 8's "brothers" apparently there is some way for droids to become so self aware they can tap into the force. The droids are now on a disparate search for the codes.. I'm also sure that they also behind the droid rebellion.. who knows what other plans they have.

Oh and I was attacked by one of my party members... Freya. Her arrogance is really starting to annoy me. It took everything I had to keep from getting sliced open by that "test". So much in fact, that when we had to apprehend the droid I had no reserves for the "real fight" The council's response resulted in the Scout Kas quitting on the spot, and frankly with an attitude like that I can see how their arrogance brought the Emperor to power.

So now I'm torn save the galaxy from the XIII and the dark times or turn in my saber and transfer to Fighter Command... Never make a decision in haste or anger so I think I'll wait till after our next mission and see where the force takes me.

Well one door closes and another opens. The old bird is flight worthy once more. I must say it is a thing of beauty. She hasn't left the cargo bay yet.. I need to figure someway to dock it with the outside of the Turtle so it can be launched and used. Lacking an astromech, she won't be much good at long distance trips.

As for the fall out from the Incident with Freya..
Let see Freya kicked out of Jedi Council, STARS disbanded and I've seem to have left my saber at the council. Jedi powers or not I'm not sure I wanted to be associated with that organization.

STARS or not, we still seem to be in the business of cleaning up some of the Sith and scum in the universe.
We staked out a couple of neighborhoods trying to track down the Repulsor-Heeled Jack. Instead we found 4. So after a bit of a reunion and pooling of notes we have a much better idea of Org XIII master plan.. It apparently involves building their own Death Star... which is great cause I didn't think I was going to get one of those kills.
Well we did eventually run into Jack.. and Woa... He has in fact been harvesting body parts for his own use. Sadly were weren't able to do much against him.
So we are going to regroup and try again. which should give me enough time to recharge the energy pack of my new blaster.

Well that's not exactly how I planned it but I guess results are results.

So we cook a up a plan to use the Mina as bait... Unknowing that Freya has cooked up her own plan. The 2 of them head out and the rest of us follow a discrete distance. Then Freya turns off the tracking device.. I should have aborted the plan right then and there.. but I've decided to give Freya enough rope to hang herself. A little while later we learn her plan and we bust in, not quite the nick of time but I'm glad we weren't too much later.

Freya "explanation" is that our quarry was gifted with super psychic powers and was afraid we would tip them off. Still a note or something would have been nice. Mina thrashed the bad guy and we won the day. Not sure what it cost Mina and I hope she's ok from the ordeal. We got a couple leads to follow up so we shall see where they head.

We then spent some time on the Hut homeword tracking down some artifacts.. where we ran into a "gang" calling themselves the Neo-sith. Even better they been handing out lightsabers to some of their members. Not sure whats more dangerous sith or untrained wanna-be sith running around with sabers. Needless to say a demonstration of the real power of the force convinced them to go running home to mama. I've decided to keep one of the sabers.. Not sure why but it might come in handy down the road.

Well apparently we seem to have a penchant for stirring up trouble where ever we go. So we land on Socorro and Cause a new judge to spring out the sands.. Needless to say after we figure out the connection the Cap takes the ship and the sword of hate off planet.

Well we had some time to kill while waiting for our meeting with the saber dealer. So we decide to go Saber crystal hunting. Fortunately party is persuaded to hirer a local guide. Well we come across a cavern with a crystal growth surrounded by a moat full of giant sea monsters... I swear if I didn't know better I would say it was created by some hack holonet writer. Well the "sea monsters" are scared off and eventually I get the nerve to try crossing the waters. Apparently the Force wants me back, cause not only do I make it there and back safely but I also pick up an impressive saber crystal. So I place it in my newly acquired hilt and I once again wield a saber... which I use to help from getting Mina and the rest of us blow to itty bitty pieces when we test the Droid rebellion signal on a power droid.

Oh and so help me the next thing that tells me to defend myself is going to face 4 linked KX9 laser cannons.

Well it looks like we successfully stopped the galaxy wide droid revolt. We intercepted a couple of 8's "brothers" on the satellite and although they escaped we did insert the new program that shorted out chips everywhere. I'm sure that there are still troublesome droids out there.. but hopefully the New Republic can clean that up.

Freya tried to tell me something the other day in the cargo but in typical Freya it was aloof, condescending and vague all at the same time. So I mostly ignored him. it will be funny to see if she does figure away to get the xwing out of the cargo hold, without pissing off the captain.

and in other news the party is finally tearing itself apart. Artemis and Freya had words, which led to shoves, the next thing sabers are drawn and bits of being chopped off. In retrospect I guess I could have intervened sooner but 8 dealt with it. A good part of me wanted both of them to loose in hopes that they would learn something.

So apparently I'm kind oblivious about things. The captain and Mina have been working for a while on heavily modifying the Turtle when I wasn't looking.

The cap comes up to me and starts giving me this odd sob story about never being in a fighter before. and wonder if he could hop in the socket and atleast get a feel for it. So we drop him in and I hop in the cockpit to show him the systems. Next then I know the floor drops out and Me the Captain and the old girl are hurtling through space. Not wanting to show off too much I just put her though a couple basic maneuvers but I guess it was a bit much for the Cap. So we dock back on board and I give Mina a big hug.

So then we do a bit of research and yea. it looks like someone got into the business of using a large scale Ion cannon to steal not 1 but 2 Mon Calamari cruisers. Well its obvious that someone is getting ready to start something.. we will have to see what that is.

Then we do some digging on the harvest attacks.. Well it turns out that the locals worship Mina, complete with museum and statue. Needless to say she was very excited. Well we conclude that its most likely our friends with the nose, and it turns out their homeworld is just a short distance way.

We check the archives and its classified as extinct, but we have our doubts. So as we near the system its automated defenses kick it and in a very short time later The Old Girl has her first 2 1/2 kills. We land and we very quickly realize that this world is anything but extinct. We regroup, lick our wounds and prepare once more to face the real threat.

So we face down the Anzat. We tried wondering around, But in the end I pushed for the direct route. What we faced was a monolouging ancient sith powered Anzat. So there was lots of hand ringing until 8 leaps up... turns out we weren't much of a match for the big bad and he escapes. We really didn't want to chase him so we steal his ship, destory his house, set up a warning system and leave a comm with "Mina's" people. Well can't say we didn't leave an impression.

Then we learn more about the forgotten, their fleet and. Their leader... not sure how to deal with that without one major fleet.

Well Freya is atleast becomming more open with her plans. She wanted to test a theory with the swords.. so she explained her plan and let me attack her.. my heart was not in it but I guess the sword had other plans.. well turns out they are linked... but not to each other but to Mina apartently she picked up the mark when she defeated the Butcher. Guess I'm glade freya didn't pick her for the test.

Those last couple of fights has mean thinking...why am I so reluctant to draw my blade.. in a fighter I charge head first,4 blasters blazing and then I display my kills with pride, I really need to start bringing that kind of drive to my saber. For when I doubt my skills I give my doubt skill.

So now we head to Ando to track down our last lead on the mark and see if we can clear some of this up.

Well for those keeping score.. bad guys 2 err make that 3 and us 0. We couldn't stop the Anzat so we head to Ando where we face not one but three reapers. And after giving it every thing I had and the several others doing the same all we have to show for it, is 2 severed arms, a lighter cargo hold and Freya with considerably less depth perception.

We did learn a couple of interesting facts, the reapers and their master plan on killing a old bad in a couple of days...which may sound good but I doubt if any good could come from it. We did learn the location of a holocron that might possibly give us a slim chance if that is we can figure out how to get it, because we sure as heck couldn't pay for it.

Well we managed to get the holocron with zero blood shed and hopefully without mina and her tattoo being the wiser on who it was... I know part of the team had a long chat with the cube so hopefully they have some insight on our next step.

Well the doctor has come clean about his past, its not every day you learn some is partially responsible for the death of millions. My first reaction is to turn the Dr in, but in light of recent events I think I have an alternative solution.. I think I will propose to the Dr that he helps with our 2.. 3 current crisis(I've lost track) we have going and if we survive then he turns himself in, if not I will myself..oh and make sure karlos gets his cut.

Score one for us... We managed by a bit of working together remove the mark from Mina. The Doc even did a reasonable job keeping Mina's physical body going while the rest of us went walk about inside Mina's dream state. I got to hand it to X she really knows how to push buttons, she threw every fear of every member at us to stop us... But turns out it wasn't much for a bunch of competent Jedi... yea I said competent Jedi. Apparently all that practice I've had "defending myself" has paid off and I was able to dispatch at least one of the nightmares single handed.

So we made a stop of Yavin so the Cap could conduct some family business. While there we meet what was left Jedi Council, who was playing host to all sorts of groups including the Jensaara and Rogue Squadron(I'm gonna try not to go all fan boy) I got to say there's not much left of the council and all those in attendance are a bit worse for wear.

So the great meeting of minds has resulted in a couple things; the reinstatement of STARS, A plan to confront the forces about to erupt on Socorro complete with backup and weapons, 2 Sith Holocrons one of which seems to have been listening to our conversations.

Then once we deal with that its on to fight the Forgotten on Coruscant. Looks like I might be able to show my stuff to the Rogues

Odd side note my old light saber seems to have disappeared

Not to get too cocky but I think we are on a roll. So we gathered our forces on Socorro, and set up a pretty good ambush. I spent a couple days in the old girl waiting for them to arrive to give the others as much warning as possible. I figured out which ship they had stowed away on and sent out the alarm. It kinda pissed me off that they had hidden behind some innocents, cause I could have save everyone alot of grief/aggravation, if I could have just blasted the ship to tiny little pieces.

Well the warning worked because by the time the shadows got the to the judge, the rest of the gang was ready for them, with a nifty surprise Light.. lots and lots of light.. Seems almost poetic that.

Well after landing and "acquiring" a sloop(anyone who drives those things must be insane) I joined the battle already in progress. Our allies kept 2 of the reapers busy while we dealt with the last. There is something to be said for overwhelming numbers. Sadly the reaper pulled out a nasty trick of using Freya as a shield just as Karlos perforated the target with our newly mounted E-web on the skiff. The reaper was vanquished but nearly at the cost of Freya, the Doc patched her up and the "good" reaper healed her up.

So onto the Forgotten.. Just need to take care of a few things
1. Air out the cockpit(its a bit beyond ripe)
2. Get a full load out of torps. Cause the old girl and I are coming out swinging.

Had an uncomfortable chat with the Capt about the interment of his "family" I really hope he doesn't rise from the dead, and if he does let hope its just an empty shell.

We are now streaking across the galaxy to save an entire core world. We are definitely moving up in the saving business. Stanley and Mina got the droid working and we think we can use her to track the signal. I was a little leery at first but, after talking with Stanley and Mina and then with Ev-3 herself, I glad she decided to join the fight. All the time I've spent with 8 and Capt I felt compiled to ask her what she wanted to do, free will and all. Her answer was to made herself at home in Ol' Girl. Turns out she can even handle some basic astro mech duties. She even comes equipped with a blaster, it won't do much again a starfighter's shields but I can't wait to see the look on some pilot's face when he's on my tail and suddenly energy bolts start flying at him.

Well our happy little band has been tasked with taking out the droid control ship. So Rogue 6 and I will fly cover while the Turtle boards. It feels like one of those defining moments, and all I can say is Bring it.

I'd like to think I acquitted myself pretty well. Had 3 kills, and helped knock out the drive system on the Dreadnought Control ship and then moved on to a shield generator on one of Star Destroyers. It's amazing how fast one of those big ships stand down once their globes drop.

So if my math is right and the targeting computers confirm it, that should make me an ace with 5 kills. with the Ol' Girl (OCC yea I looked it up turns out most people count 5 as an ace)

More importantly the Turtle landed safely and I could tell pretty quickly when the rest of the gang succeeded because resistance suddenly just stopped.

The big surprise of the fight was the transport led by a certain research droid.

Well its time for some mop up and Lum.

Well after the battle I has made kinda of an honorary member of the Rogues.. Hell apparently I had more kills that at least one. I think the only thing more dangerous than going on a mission with them, is celebrating after their missions.

The CO pulled me aside and told me that when they got their next opening I would be on the short list of replacements, quite an honor. Told him thanks but right now STARS needs me more.

So apparently a bunch of the team are ready for the Jedi trials.. good for them. I'm still struggling with my place in the force.. while drinking at the bar where were talks of a group called the Wardens of the Sky... who used their powers to keep the hyperspace lanes free for all smugglers and traders alike. Most think them to be legends now, but hey it wouldn't be the first time a supposed exterminated group came back. Living among the stars and maintaining a neutral hand sounds like a pretty good job to me..

Well on the way to the Jedi trials we were lured into a "trap". Apparently a group of pirates were using the old distress call gambit. I don't think they were expecting such a heavily armed ship like the Turtle. Nor were they expecting it full of Jedi. The Authorities will be picking them up shortly.

The rest of the gang seems to have past their test and are now full Jedi knights.. Good for them.. Freya even gave them little crystals for their sabers, so now most of the group matches.

I've done some more research on the Wardens. Apparently they would just travel the Galaxy as members of crews or pilots The legends speak of them being masters of unarmed combat... So I guess it's time to start hitting the gym.. Maybe 8 knows some unarmed combat techniques.

Hey look at me, I got the crew into the maw in one piece. In fact I'm such a good pilot I really don't need a ship to get us there... but it does help.

The distress beacon lead us to a abandoned facility and a pretty worn Star Destroyer, with a giant floating eyeball on it.. yuck.

So we've come across a great treasure drove of Jedi/Sith/etc artifacts on the abandoned station. Hell I even found some info on the Wardens. I got to say the look on people's faces when I started researching ancient text was pretty priceless.

So after we cleaned out the archives, Freya and the droids got themselves detained by a Dr, that is well apparently even crazier than ours. So now we seemed forced to lend aid to the ship. We also learned that the station and I'm guessing the Star Destroyer are infected with this weird nanobot virus thingies. But it turns out one ion blast seems to really be effective in knocking things out. So with that knowledge and using some stuff we found on the station, Mina and Tyr have cooked up a couple surprises for Dr extra crazy, and loaded one of them into the Ol' Girl.

So we all make it aboard the Star Destroyer... The one thing that catches our eye... is well the giant eye on the bottom. Mina, The Dr and I fiddle with the "engines" a bit in hopes that it will get them far enough into a black hole. The rest of the gang as the classic confrontation with Crazy Dr Zarkoff. I can only imagine how 8 handled that.

Well the bridge party pulled their usually stuff and next thing we hear is Karlos screaming "Situation normal!!!" over the coms which is our cue to get out of here. Along the way back we run into a really big looking creature. So I've use the transport as a ram and we all make it back to the ship. Where we are confronted by the apparently real Big Bad(TM). After several rounds of sparing The Dr lets loose and he goes to pieces. 8 throws a glue grenade and we escape in the Turtle.

Unsure if our sabotage plan is going to work EV3 and I take to the skies to see if we can deal the destroyer an truly crippling blow. Large tentacles spring from the ship and after my usual flying prowess I make a classic torpedo run on the eye. Mina's and Tyr's new ion proton torpedo worked great and I gave the ship the mother of all black eyes. EV3 and I fly to the open window on the bridge.. I guess that answers how 8 felt about it, and we get the destroyer moving to the closest black hole. For good measure we shove the space station into one too.

on our emergence from the Maw we discover no blockade, no captain.. in fact no anything. We make a couple checks and eventually get an email from the Cap giving us the ship, while he goes to deal with Socorro. It kinda leaves at a bit of a loss. So I guess it back to the research team to figure out our next move.

Well apparantly the space vamp we pissed off is now off world. Mina's world seems to be safe for now. The good news is that ev3 and the xwing hyperdrive seems to work just fine.

Jedi council... new names but I still can't seem to get along with them.. this time it was me that started it. But in the end the group seems happy with the out come. And I now get to test an unknown force artifact. Seems to be some sort of evo suit built into a ring. And since it wasn't immediately tagged as sith or jedi it leads some credance to other force users in the galaxy.

I feel that the ultimate showdown of ultimate destinaty is nearing and we are not much nearer to stopping it. Although at this point time i'd be happy if we could redirect it.

UPDATE: well after another chat with Freya, she returned something that I was starting to think I had possibly lost forever.. now let see if I can keep it as well as a more level head.

Just when I think I've mastered every time of vehicle in the galaxy Tyr and this crazy woman have decided to try and build a giant robot out of several star destroyers... Yea let that sink in for a second. 5 star destroyers. It's not finished yet but Tyr has already given me some rough specs and simulations so I can start practicing.. Cause I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy crazy/good enough in the galaxy to even want to climb in that thing. And get this its gonna be equipped with a lightsaber. If I didn't know any better I'd say I've been thrown into some super robot anime-holos.

Well based on what i've learned from those the first thing to do is form the giant robot(if it needs to be) and the second pull out the saber... anything else short of that will not work.

Nothing like finding out that the space vampire you thought were tracking turns out to be the resurrected she spider you had already killed once.. I'd go to therapy but considering the last time I talked to someone about it, he turned out to be practicing shall we say less than scrutable medicine, I'll pass.

Sadly we didn't get too much info due to some shoot first say hi second thinking.

Well there's a note in the times about some ancient puzzle box.. I'm guessing at least 2 members are going to want to see it.. since their name is on the exhibit. and they even requested jedi help securing it. Man talk about the Force mag-train of destiny.
